Tour 6 Akakous - Messak - Lakes 15 days.

8 DAYS ON MEHAREES OR TREKKING WITH CAMELS AND 4 DAYS BY 4WD CAR

Day 1: Arrival at Tripoli then flight to SEBHA the gate of desert. Then transfer to GERMA with our our buses, night and dinner at hotel.

Day 2: Early in the morning, transfer to GHAT by bus and passing by SERDELES, TAHALA, and AKAKOUS. On the right side, you can see the TITERSEN ERG. After visiting GHA, we will join our caravan by 4WD cars at WADI TIJIN TOREN GHARABA. We are already in AKAKOUS bivouac.

Day 3 to day 9: Start of the meharee or trekking with camels. We discover the WADI AFFAGH. Visit of the Affagh arch, a splendid landscape, WADI WAN BUBU, then visit of the rock painting sites of WADI ANSHAL, WADI IMRAKA, WADI EMINAMER and continuation to WADI TECHWENET (museum of Akakous which is full of paintings). We leave TECHWENET to WADI INTAGHAGHIT.

Day 10: From INTAGHAGHIT we continue up to INFIRDANE where our cars already are. Bivouac .

Day 11 to Day 13: We leave Akakous by 4WD and cross WANKASA erg, an ocean of sand. We visit the engravings of MESSAK SETTAFAT. On our way back we make a little stop at the lakes of OUM EL MA and MANDARA. These lakes are like they have been set here in the dunes hollows. We drive back to Sebha for the Tripoli flight and night at hotel.

Day 14: Visit of one of the antic sites of the Tripolitaine (Sabratha or Leptis Magna atyour choice).

Day 15: Visit of Tripoli‘s old city and the market then transfer to Tripoli Airport and back to Europe.
